A one day course to introduce you to studying and drawing the human form from a live model. Beginners will be guided through the basics of life drawing, looking at proportion, movement and the use of line and tone. More advanced students can use these sessions to further advance their drawing skills, guided by the tutor. Cost includes fee for model.

An introduction to techniques for applying colour to silk and creating richly coloured pictures or patterns to put on the wall, use as scarves or as the basis for embroidery. You will be able to make sample pieces as well as design a larger piece of silk work. Students with existing skills will be able to work on more individual pieces.

Beaded jewellery by Rachel Hearne
Rachel Hearne is a contemporary jeweller who works predominantly in silver, gold and semi-precious stones. She has been exhibiting and selling her work internationally for over 12 years.
This is a full day workshop that will cover basic techniques used to design and make beaded jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings and much more. This course will cover looping, scrolling, and making hooks and clasps as well as stringing and using a wire jig.
