2013KEN: Drawing with Colour - Mixed Media

Continuing from spring term. Drawing with Colour is a creative drawing course aimed at those who have some knowledge of basic drawing and wish to widen their perception and practice of using colour. Inspired by historical and contemporary use of colour and a wide range of artists including David Hockney, Kurt Jackson, Wayne Thieubad and David Jones, this is a mixed media course using a variety of traditional and more contemporary coloured materials.

Langdale by Bob Henfrey2028KEN: Improving Your Painting Skills

Continuing from spring term. A class for people who have painted before and want to take their skills and knowledge beyond the basic level, but at their own pace. It will cater in the main for water-based media (watercolour, gouache, acrylic, inks), oil pastels and regular oil paints. Progress at your own speed and on your own subjects. You will set the agenda, receiving help when you need it. Sessions will cover issues of subject, composition, tone & colour, perspective, etc. as well as painting skills and the presentation of finished work.

Lynda Gray
Lynda Gray is a mixed media artist inspired by the experience of being in the landscape and more recently by the experience of travel. Her work reflects a passion for keeping sketchbooks and for drawing and painting in a wide variety of media. Since 2002 she has enjoyed tutoring in adult education in Cumbria and Lancashire, offering classes that aim both to encourage and to inspire.

Bob Henfrey
Bob Henfrey has been an Adult Education tutor since 1990, and has taught many kinds of art classes. His strengths are drawing, outdoor sketching and painting in watercolour, oil and gouache. He is a regular exhibitor in major art shows in London and a frequent contributor to the annual Lake Artists’ Society exhibition. You can see some of Bob's work at www.bobhenfrey.co.uk
