Learn a Language

The following descriptions give a general indication of the level of the course. Please contact us for advice if you are not sure what level to join.

Beginner – Suitable if you have never studied the language before, or if you have done a bit but would prefer to start again. The purpose is to learn to get by, using basic language in a variety of situations (for example greeting people, ordering in a café, arriving at a hotel). You will also learn something of the culture of the country.

Beginner Plus – Suitable if you have attended the Beginner’s class, or already have a basic understanding of the language and want to brush up. The class will build your confidence by teaching you new vocabulary and the building blocks of grammar.

Improvers – You will feel that you can cope (rather than being confident) in everyday tourist situations, probably having already studied the language for a couple of years. You will learn more complex grammar and become more familiar with future and past tense and the use of different cases.

Continuing – Our most advanced classes to help you develop and practice your language in spoken and written work. Suitable for people who spend a lot of time in the country, or who are just really keen!

Give us a ring to discuss which level is right for you.
