Learn to navigate in hill country. You will find out how to read the map, how to relate it to the landscape and how to use a compass to set your direction. Also covered will be choice of route, equipment and mointain safety. Aimed at people who enjoy more strenuous walking. Ideal as a follow-up to the Lowland Navigation Day, or as a stand alone course.

A chance for a day on the Lakeland fells with a qualified expert. Along the way you will learn about mountain navigation and choosing the best route for the conditions. You will also discuss equipment and mountain safety. Aimed at people who would like to walk the fells but who do not yet feel confident to do so.
